December iris
I transplanted this iris the end of August. Then for some happy reason it decided to bloom this fall in its new home. It is a little patch of sunshine under my kitchen window. I am thankful for all my pretty flowers!
do irises usually bloom in the winter? I thought it was more of a spring flower. How beautiful! I was also very excited to see you in one of the pictures too. All of you look great! I also loved seeing your Thanksgiving pictures on facebook :).
I love your flowers, too! Especially the ones with smiley faces! I think it is especially neat that you got a yellow iris to bloom! I have a feeling that if you looked around at other gardens they would not be having irises bloom. I think God gave you that beautiful flower to give you some wonderful winter cheer! It makes me think of my mom. She would be amazed at your winter iris. Love, mom
