My sweet Boy

Yesterday for Molly's birthday we gave her a Nerf gun.
Lars has very much enjoyed using it. Just a short while ago he was shooting things with it and he accidentally shot above the doorway to the steps. But he was not upset at all that it ( the bullet thingy) was stuck way up high. He just started pushing a chair over to the doorway to stand on to get it down. He got it almost there and thought it was close enough so he got up on it, tried to reach the foam thing but because he couldn't reach he new the problem was because he was not close enough. He got down and pushed it closer but now knew he still could not get it so he started grunting and jumping and reaching as high as he could with both hands.
Sometimes the sweetness of my children makes my heart hurt it is so full. They teach me so much. I praise God that he has given me this opportunity to be a part of these children's lives. I know each moment is a gift from Him.

Happiness

Happiness is not found in doing What One likes to do, But in LIKING what one has to do.

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord and not for men.
Colossians 3 : 23

...Do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.
1 Samuel 10 : 7

I have been thinking about the quote and these verses a lot. (mom has the quote on the wall on the bathroom) It is a good reminder that we have a choice. whatever our attitude is, it is because we chose to have that attitude.
Choose Happiness.

Helpers

These are our three sweet helpers who are always ready to help in the kitchen. :)

:)

This is my favorite winter hat. I am really glad I have it too because it really seems that winter has no plans for leaving any time soon.
We got at least 12 more inches of snow last night.
we have a beautiful winter wonderland out there.
Thanks for the pretty hat.

recent events

We have been doing a lot of running around lately. We went to Brandt and Jenny's for two days. the kids had fun pretending and playing together. I got to go with Jenny to her knitting club. I had fun watching them and visiting with the ladies.

Then we went to Travis and Anna's for three days. right after we got there we went to watch Bea and Margaret at their ballet lessons.
The days were nice and warm so the kids were able to go out and ride bikes in the lane.
Anna's kids have lots of dress up clothes so my girls are often wearing princess dress' when we are there.

We then went to Dennis and Karen's. We got there after Karen and Keli had gone to work so we went down to see them while they were on their lunch break.
We went up to the city the next morning for shopping and eating out fun. We even stopped at a coffee shop. yay.

why don't blogs work the way I want them too?
