growing up

I am so bad. I forgot to blog about Heidi's birthday!
 She had a lovely day. I love how my kids enjoy birthdays. Molly and Lars went out of their way to make it special for Heidi and she appreciated all they did. My kids are their own best friends on a normal day but they really enjoy each other more on special days like birthdays.

I feel bad that I don't blog more often. But I'm really not a writer so I find this hard. I love reading all of your blogs. So here is an attempt at a post about us here. :) A lot of things have happened and these pictures show some of the highlights.
 I really have trouble making the layout of this the way I want it so I guess I wont be able to do captions by the pictures.

Now we are five

Heidi had a great birthday.

Happy girl with all her new things. The kids were chewing gum dawn till dusk for a few days. since she had two packs of gum to share with them. We have also done lots of coloring, mostly with colored pencils.

Birthday!

Lars is 3 now! Blowing out the candles.^
Everyone sang happy birthday to Lars, including Lars. :)
He even got some birthday wishes by phone, in this picture he was talking to cousin Harrison!

At last

This is Derek with his Fiddle! I am so glad we got it. It is so nice to hear him play it again.

Derek's birthday party

We celebrated Derek's birthday by making his favorite cake. I tried a new recipe and it turned out very good.
